It is my mission to secure high-quality & natural seafoods vigorously through mutually reliable rapport with local fishermen in Kyushu and San’in areas, procure amazingly delicious natural seafoods from the ocean and make them into wonderful tsunami and sushi you have never enjoyed before.
By fully absorbing a half-century of traditional skills, through innovation and breaking tradition, I have created a new era of sushi-offering.

Challenge to the world

Teru Sushi is a sushi restaurant rooted in Tobata,Kitakyushu, established in 1964.
Under the leadership of the third-generation chef, Takayoshi Watanabe, we have garnered customers not only from across Japan but around the world by serving exceptional sushi made from the finest, locally sourced seafood from three seas facing Kitakyushu (Suonada, Genkainada, and Hibikinada), along with polished culinary performances.

Today, Teru Sushi Group operates a total of 5 establishments, including Teru Sushi, TeruSushi.JP, Teru Sushi TOKYO, Teru Sushi Saudi Arabia, and the knife shop ‘TERUKNIVES.’ Additionally, we have conducted various productions such as a three-month pop-up event in New York, the Sky Lounge at the F1 Singapore GP, and Republic Banquets in Central Asia.

Furthermore, we have engaged in diverse activities in the culinary and business sectors worldwide, with highlights including representing Japan as speakers at renowned global gatherings of chefs and culinary enthusiasts like ‘Madrid Fusión’ in Spain and ‘Gastromasa’ in Turkey.
